Every Apprenticeship Framework must contain a Technical Certificate. The Technical Certificate included within the Ceramic Apprenticeship is called the Certificate in Ceramics Manufacturing and it is awarded by PAA / VQSET. Industry Training Managers agreed that a ceramic Apprentice should know and understand ALL of the following:-
1 Ceramic Manufacturing Processes from start (raw materials) to finish (how products are distributed and sold)
2 Customer Care - with the emphasis on internal customer relationships
3 Quality Assurance
These topics are supported by a variety of paper-based and on-line resources, including:-
· ACTD-produced workbooks
· Virtual factory tour and test
· Ceramic Manufacturing Faults e-learning modules and tests
· Ceramic Manufacturing Processes written questions (to be converted to an on-line test)
· Paper-based resources
